  • How big of a conference table do I need?

When choosing a conference room table, several factors need to be considered, including the size of the room and how many people you need to seat at each table. Try to plan on giving your table 30-36 inches of space per seat, as well as a minimum of 36 inches (or 3 feet) between the ends of the table and the walls, to make it easier to access the table and give everyone their own space. By measuring the length and width of your conference room and subtracting 6 feet from both measurements, you can get a rough idea of how big of a conference room you can fit in your space.

  • What sizes are conference tables available in?

Steelcase conference tables come in a wide range of sizes to best fit your available space. The Verb series of tables, available in chevron, rectangle, and Team configurations, are all available in sizes of 24″ x 60″, 24″ x 66″, 30″ x 60″, or 30″ x 66″ to fit a range of spaces.

  • What are the different types of conference tables?

Conference tables are available in several different configurations and shapes to help suit different needs, as well as different spaces. Steelcase conference tables are available at different heights including working height and conference height to encourage collaboration and provide comfort during meetings, and come in shapes including square, rectangle, and chevron to better accommodate your guests.

  • How can I arrange the tables in my classroom?

Classroom table arrangement can take many forms, depending on the curriculum being taught, the number of students, and the size of the classroom. Many popular table layouts include the grid formation (with an even number of tables forming columns and rows through the center of the room) and the pod formation (where groups of tables are pushed together to create working groups, which can be ideal for certain assignments).

  • Are desks or tables better for my classroom?

Many educators prefer tables for their classrooms due to their ability to better promote socialization and collaboration among students, as well as their easier relocation throughout the educational space depending on the needs of the lessons and work being performed.
